Attached is a picture of the "ELA" antenna at WØHBK. (ELA is Extension Ladder Antenna). It is a 20 foot ladder extended to 18 feet in my maple tree, using a piece of 1 X 6 pine board for a base insulator. The feedline coax has been removed from my 80 meter wire vertical loading coil on the left, and attached to the ladder with a battery clamp. The coax shield is connected to a ground rod, next to the loading coil. My MFJ 259-B indicates resonance at about 7.5 Mhz, with an SWR of 1.1:1.
The rig is a Yaesu FT-920, running 100 watts, and loads the antenna on 40 and 20 meters.
