Howdy Erik.
I am Lee Langford, KG4DZN, in Farmton Florida... Had fun today hooking up and loading up my "Extended Double Truck" antenna.... Ingredients:
- One F900 flatbed truck (destroyed by hurricane Charlie)
- One Izuzu Hombre (also rendered unusable by Charlie)
- Two jumper cable style leads 3ft long from a battery charger (another Charlie victim)
- Fed with 120ft of 9913 coax.
- One piece of broken fence board to keep the "twisted connection" out of the grass (and to keep the ants off my picnic...
- Bring to a boil with 100 Watts.
- Enjoy!
Loaded on 20, 40 and 75M.
Made one contact:
15:42 EDT May 28 to Rooney, 6Y5RP, in Jamaica. RS55
