Here Warren NM3U, his son John KI4ODU, and their neighbor Debra KI4ODS bring us a strange dipole antenna made from two semi-trailers. One was partially loaded with steel, so this makes this an unbalanced dipole, hehehe! They pushed just 50-watts into this strange antenna, and made contacts all over the place! I think I heard them make a contact in Hungery as I was spinning past their frequency. Amazing! - Erik n0ew
As I told you on the radio, we had to use a bit more that 2 feet of wire to connect the trailers. Not much, but a bit more, we did use the least we could to make the connections. I used the balanced wire connections on the matchbox, and the cinder block was the best stand for the matchbox.

but you have to love the eager look on John’s face!" - Warren NM3U
